Friends of Thornton Primary School is a group of parents, carers and members of our school community who come together to help make school life even more enjoyable for our children.
Everyone is welcome to get involved, whether you can give lots of time or just an hour here and there. There is no pressure or commitment — every bit of help makes a difference.
Throughout the year, we organise a variety of fun events and activities for the children and families, including school discos, treasure hunts, craft activities, seasonal events, fayres, sponsored challenges and other exciting fundraising activities.
The money we raise goes directly back into our school, helping to provide new books and educational resources, playground improvements, outdoor learning opportunities, equipment, activities and experiences that benefit our children. We work closely with the school to identify where fundraising can make the biggest difference.
We are always grateful for ideas, donations, fundraising suggestions, skills, contacts and practical help. Perhaps you have a business contact who could support us, a skill you could share, or simply an hour to spare at one of our events — whatever you can offer is hugely appreciated.

Pre-Loved Uniform
We are also committed to helping our school community and reducing waste. Our Pre-Loved Uniform helps families access good-quality school uniform at affordable prices while giving unwanted uniform a new lease of life.
Uniform is available to purchase at the end of each term, with further details shared with parents through our usual school and Facebook communications.
Every purchase, donation, volunteer and contribution helps us to give something back to our school.
